Post a General Notice

The Post a General Notice tool is used to post General Notices. Only users who are designated as General Notifiers in their user settings can post General Notices. They are further limited to only those alerts which they have permission to post. When a General Notice is posted, that posting appears on the public side of BusPlanner Web. Alerts appear as their time frames come into effect and are removed when the designated time frame has passed.

Posting a General Notice

Notice – The name of the alert which is to be posted. This is generally the same text as the actual alert.

Duration – How long the alert should remain on the front page of the website. The length of time is governed by the Time Frames setting.

Add – Post the General Notice.

Viewing Active General Notices

Posted – The date and time the General Notice was posted.

Duration – How long the alert should remain on the front page of the website. The length of time is governed by the Time Frames setting.

Message – The text that appears on the public side of the webpage.

Cancel – Removes the General Notice from the public side of the webpage and keeps a record of its posting for archival use.

Delete – Removes the General Notice from the public side of the webpage and removes all records of the postings existence. This is useful for postings added by mistake.
